UNDERWATER ANTARES DETECTOR
The speaker was discussing the methods for underwater monitoring. He highlighted that, in order to understand the effects of climate change and pollution on the environment, we need long-term monitoring. Since underwater cameras are cheap these days, it can be used for this purpose. 10 cameras record records video for 12 hours a day for 4 years to produce 112TB of data. Finally, this data is analyzed by video processing software and are provided to marine biologists in a suitable format.
